- I was born in Arkansas, transplanted to Tejas in 1970 and I have conflicting emotions when the Hogs play the Longhorns. I live on 4 acres of Texas Prairie that I'm trying to civilize into a home place. It isn't easy as the soil is paper thin scattered accross the top of an ancient limestone sea bed. My wife and I started planting trees from scratch when we moved in in 2000, as there were none. Now we have planted over 100. We buy a living christmas tree every year and transplant them into the yard. I'm a firm believer in Global Warming and I'm trying to do my part to be a good steward of the environment. I came from the Arkansas Delta Country where we raised Rice, Soybeans, Cotton and Mosquitoes. Guess which crop was always a bumper. The farm, for a living, is a good place to be from. I'm not a gregarious person and I consider it a good weekend when I park the car in the garage on Friday evening and don't get in it until Monday morning. I'm married with 3 kids and 2 stepkids, and they all turned out to be nice young adults. I'm very proud of all of them.

Hey this is your first comment! Added your pic for your blogger and liked your write up! Now all you have to do is write or publish pics under your blog--when you sign on just choose edit--then look for toolbar for a "blue" pic to add pics you have (browse option to find them on your computer then open it and upload--that easy)
